ASTERONConnect an account
Mail is available from Standard.
- In Settings › Mail, select "Connect new account". "Connect a mail account" on the Mail screen goes to the same place.
- Choose a service: Naver · Hiworks · Generic IMAP · Gmail
- Choose how to receive mail. IMAP is recommended; POP3 also works.
- Enter your address and password, then select "Test connection" → "Connect".
Before you start, by service
| Service | Do this first |

| Naver | Turn on IMAP in Naver Mail settings. If you use 2-step verification, create an app password and use that. |
| Hiworks | Some Hiworks plans don't include IMAP. If it fails, try POP3. |
| Outlook mail | Connect Microsoft first in Settings › External sources, then on the Mail tab select "Add mail access" › "Connect Outlook mail". |
| Gmail | Connect your Google account first in Settings › Calendar, then select "Connect Gmail mailbox". |
Search mail
Connected mail shows up in Search alongside documents. Use the "Mail" kind chip to see only mail. To keep a message out of search, select "Exclude from index".
AI mail
Open a message on the Mail screen and use:
- Summarize with AI: shortens long messages and threads
- AI analysis: pulls out requests, deadlines and follow-ups
- AI reply draft: writes a reply draft
Reply drafts are only drafts and are never sent. Review and send them yourself.
Signature
Add a signature in Settings › Mail and select "Save signature".
If you see "Reconnect needed", your password changed or an app password expired. Reconnect in Settings › Mail.
