Basic search
- Open Search in the sidebar.
- Type a document name, a client, or a sentence you remember, and select "Search".
- Check the matching sentence on a result card, then select "Open file" or "Show in folder".
Items from other services (Notion, OneDrive, etc.) open in that service, for example "Open in Notion".
Search titles only
When you remember the file name, choose Title only under "Search by". Only documents whose file name contains all the words you type are shown; the content is not searched. A file named exactly like your search comes first, then names that start with it, then the rest by most recently modified. Available on Lite too.
Narrow the results
- Kind: Documents · Mail · Images · Events · Drive · Notion · OneDrive · OneNote
- Format: All · HWP · PDF · Word · Excel · PowerPoint · Drawings (DWG) · Text · Images
- Advanced: open "Advanced" to use the conditions below, then select "Search with these conditions".
- All of these words / This exact phrase / Any of these words / None of these words
- Words near each other / Starts with / Include similar words
- Date modified — use this to limit by date
Search by meaning (Standard and up)
Finds documents with a similar meaning even when the words differ. For example, "late delivery penalty" also finds contracts that say "liquidated damages".
- Under "Search by", choose Title only / Keyword / Meaning / Both.
- Source code and config files are not included in search by meaning — search them with exact words such as function or class names.
- On Lite, choose between Title only / Keyword, and a note above the results says keywords were used.
Do more with results (Standard and up)
Buttons above the results hand the whole result set to AI: "Summarize all", "Compare amounts and dates", "Find differences" and "Ask about these results". See Summarize, compare and find differences.
Tips
- Search with words that actually appear in the document. Try both the abbreviation and the full name.
- Too many results? Narrow by format and "Date modified".
- Can't find a document? Check in Index status that its folder has been indexed.
